Greg Orso opened Orso Law, P.A. in April 2009 to focus exclusively on civil litigation. His practice provides a host of family law, municipal law, real estate litigation and other civil litigation services to clients in Southern Maine and New Hampshire.
Greg’s legal career began after he graduated in 1993 from Colgate University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He served as a law clerk for Bregman, Berbert and Schwartz of Bethesda, Maryland, before entering the University of Maine School of Law in 1994. He received his J.D. in 1997, successfully passed the bar exam for both Maine and New Hampshire, and immediately began working for Erwin, Ott, Clark and Campbell of York, Maine. Within four years, Greg became a partner at the firm, which later changed its name to Erwin, Ott, Clark, Orso and Campbell.
Greg is currently a member of the bar associations in York County and the states of Maine and New Hampshire; the Maine Trial Lawyers Association; and the New Hampshire Trial Lawyers Association. He served as the president of the York County Bar Association from 2020 to 2022.
Greg’s involvement in the York community over the years has extended beyond the court room. He has served on the town’s budget committee from 2001-2008, acting as the committee’s chairman in 2007 and 2008. He was also one of the founders of the town’s Jump Start program for youth mentoring, helping first time juvenile offenders avoid the legal system by participating in a series of classes focused on responsibility and making better choices.
Greg is originally from Bergen County, New Jersey. He now resides in York, Maine with his wife, who is a York native, and their four children.
